I’m a sucker for a no-bake treat, not to mention its fun to make aside from being super simple. For those of you like me who have trouble waiting for those cookies to be done baking in the oven, no-bake is right up your alley! Yes, when I call these “apple head’s” its not just because I’m tuning in my love for Michael Jackson, but I really do love apples and applesauce is strangely an addiction of mine. This being said, I wanted to find a way to include applesauce into the no-bake gang.

So, whats really awesome about this particular recipe is its resemblance to pumpkin fudge and apple pie (in regards to taste). These however, have a taste and texture more similar to that of brownies. So simply, you add applesauce, coconut flour, coconut palm sugar and cinnamon into a mixing bowl and just go to town. The batter or mixture should be thick and “lumpy” in texture so it may take some strength! Just think of it as a mini workout right!? You’re working for some good here!
You can also add in a nut butter of choice (coconut butter can also work), chopped nuts or coconut flakes in addition.

Grease or line a baking pan or loaf pan with coconut oil or parchment paper (ceranwrap works too), and mold the mixture so that it covers the wall of the pan thoroughly. It’s ok if you only take up half of the pan, as long as the mixture goes all the way up the walls. These brownies are thick which is why this is so important. However, if you’d like thinner brownies, mold the mixture more flat.

After all that mixing and molding jazz is over, you simply place the pan in the fridge for about 1 hour or freezer for 30-45 minutes until the batter is firm. Cut those bad boys into brownie sized squares and plow away!
I’m always interested in what you guys think, even constructive criticism and brownie fangirl comments too. You guys asked for more no-bake goodies, and I delivered. Let me know what you think!

Applehead's No-Bake Cocosauce Brownies

I'm bringing applesauce back to life baby! In these 4 ingredient no-bake brownies. Bonus, you probably have these ingredients laying around already!
Ingredients
- 1/2 Cup Coconut Flour (sifted)
- 3/4 Cup Unsweetened Applesauce
- 1/3 Cup Coconut Palm Sugar
- 1/2 Tsp Cinnamon
- 3 Tbsp Nut or Coconut Butter (optional)
Instructions
1. Add applesauce, coconut flour, coconut palm sugar and cinnamon into a mixing bowl and just go to town. The batter or mixture should be thick and "lumpy" in texture so it may take some strength!
2. Grease or line a baking pan or loaf pan with coconut oil or parchment paper (ceranwrap works too), and mold the mixture so that it covers the wall of the pan thoroughly. It's ok if you only take up half of the pan, as long as the mixture goes all the way up the walls. These brownies are thick which is why this is so important. However, if you'd like thinner brownies, mold the mixture more flat.
3. After all that mixing and molding jazz is over, you simply place the pan in the fridge for about 1 hour or freezer for 30-45 minutes until the batter is firm. Cut those bad boys into brownie sized squares, dust with coconut sugar or cinnamon and plow away!
Notes
Depending on the coconut flour used, you may need extra applesauce if the batter is just too thick. Also, you can use applesauce that has cinnamon added if you'd like to save an extra step!
