
Sooo, I don’t drink coffee. Not just because my ADHD spikes by 1,000 when I consume that type of caffeine, but because you don’t need coffee to get caffeine. I apologize to all the die-hard coffee lovers. In truly do understand your passion for what you love 🙂
Matcha has always been my go-to caffeine source when I’m in need of a quick energy fix. Avocado and matcha surprisingly go really well together, and I waned to “spice up” my matcha smoothie game. I used to add a full avocado to my smoothie and call it a day, that is until I discovered AVOCADO POWDER. I know, I thought I was dreaming too…

Avocado powder can be purchased at all kinds of places. I actually happened to find it at Target while stocking up on my Covid19 toilet paper stash! Happy surprises right!? Believe it or not matcha smoothies are very simple to make and unless you like to get ingredient-happy, I personally add very few ingredients just because the few I choose to add, complete mission of packing healthy fats, omega fatty acids, caffeine and potassium all at once! I just lost my train of thought again thinking about how much I love avocado powder, and how much I want to hug the person who made my avocado dreams 10 times better 🙂
Hemp is an excellent source of protein believe it or not, loaded with fiber and tons of minerals and vitamins! I typically always add a tablespoon of hulled hemp seeds in my smoothies, trail mix or homemade grain-free granola. I’ve also used hemp protein powder as a source of protein when I wanted to give pea protein a break. I’ve found that the healthy fats in hemp also sustain me longer, especially paired with the avocado, but it’s really all about how ratios when it comes to sugar (or fruit), with protein and fat.

My proposal is to freeze your bananas (you can laugh) 🙂 But seriously, frozen bananas make for a thicker, creamier smoothie consistency, and who doesn’t want a creamy matcha drink? I use avocado powder, matcha green tea powder, hemp seeds, almond milk and a frozen banana. Hemp milk also works, so have fun experimenting!
Avocado Matcha Dream Smoothie

All your matcha x avocado dreams in one cup!
Ingredients
- 1 Cup Almond Milk (or hemp milk)
- 1 Frozen Banana
- 1 Tablespoon Serving Avocado Powder (or one avocado)
- 1 Tablespoon Serving Matcha Green Tea Powder
- 2 Tablespoons Hulled Hemp Seeds
Instructions
- Place frozen banana and almond milk into high-tech blender and blend until smooth
- Add the matcha, avocado and hemp and blend until thoroughly
- Pour dreamy concoction into a glass and enjoy!
