These “Keto Bombs” are superheroes in themselves, equivalent to the power of WonderWoman, Batman or Superman alike! Here I go with the dramatic rambling again, I’ll be good this time.
Fat Bombs or Keto Bombs have become a popular trend among the keto/paleo community, and also serve as a great snack alternative to a quick “ketogenic fat fix”, high in fat, low in carbs and sugar. Simple right? WRONG. Oftentimes, these “Keto snacks” are high in sugar, sugar alcohol which messes with digestive health and gut bacteria, and loaded with hidden toxic ingredients! Oh my! The ongoing argument with Keto foods, meals and snacks is the high fat content and low protein ratios working to help you burn more fat for fuel and stay in ketosis, rather than relying on carbs for instant energy. The eventual goal has always been for the body to start burning fat on it’s own, but don’t hold me accountable to this. I’ve had my own experience with a temporary Ketogenic diet, but that’s for another discussion …
My own personal love for “Keto Bombs” began when I went Keto back in February of 2020, and I found the storebought ones were super pricey, yet easy to make. So, I took matters into my own hands and got to work in my own kitchen, saving shitloads of money, having fun in the process, and having full control of ingredients and nutrition! It’s a no brainer right!?
Cashew Butter has always worked well for me and add a great creamy consistency which most nut butters cannot aside from peanut which is simply not allowed in the HH kitchen for a variety of reasons aside from my own peanut allergy.
To avoid going into a deep seated conversation about Keto diets, Cashew Butters, Superheroes and my own personal tragedies, let’s get talkin!
