Those who know me, know I’m a total Disney fanatic and I’m proud of it! Disney represented the magic and glorious escapism I craved in my childhood and even into adulthood and was a large part of my childhood (I have a family plaque in the ground of MainStreet at Disneyland CA) and there are certain memories that just make me smile.
Since childhood I always strived the eat as healthy as I could, and was blessed with the guidance of mentors that did their research, got me the best care and really helped direct me into a lifestyle where I was fully in control of what I did & didn’t put into my body. However, there were times where as a kid (and yes even as an adult now), you splurge, give in and act like it’s your last day to live. Some of the things I loved most in those moments were Disneyland POPCORN & Dole Whip. If you’ve ever had both you’ll know theres nothing like it (drools).

The famous Dole Whip is located right outside the Enchanted Tiki Room (Disney, California) in Adventureland. It’s like a creamy, dreamy magical, sunshiney (that’s not a word 🙂 LEGENDARY frozen treat that everyone can enjoy because at this point the fruit whip is vegan too! Dole whips come in floats, sundaes and the classic. Last year it was depressing to be locked out of Disney, so I pretty much lived on Provost Park Pass (my favorite Disney Youtube Channel) and tried to bring Disney into my home the best I could! Of course, its not really possible to make 100% perfect copycat Dole Whip & whip it up perfectly. But, this is the best I got and I’m pretty proud of it! I hope I can help bring some Disney magic into your home with this (healthier, “Holistic Hero” version) of Dole Whip!

Of course, the vanilla and other flavored Dole Whip’s at Disney are made with ice cream, but the original fruit flavored is vegan and made without. It’s actually fairly easy to whip up at home with just a few ingredients! It’s just frozen pineapple chunks, coconut milk, coconut sugar & a few more ingredients that are most likely in your pantry!
In my “healthier” version (that’s almost exact to the real recipe with healthier alternatives) I combine 2 cups of frozen pineapple chunks, 2 teaspoons of pineapple juice, 3 tablespoons coconut sugar, a pinch of salt or 1 teaspoon (or lemon juice), 1 tablespoon of vanilla paste (or extract) & 1/2 cup coconut milk.
Add all ingredients in a high-processed blender & boom! You’ve got dole whip. I will admit, without the thick texture of ice cream it’s a little more liquid in consistency so it’s a bit more difficult to swirl in a piping bag for that classic “swirl” texture we all know and love at Disneyland.

If you’ve made your own version of Dole Whip, have tried my recipe or have any suggestions or comments I’d LOVE to hear them! As you all hopefully know, this is an open place to speak your foodie minds! I also have a reel for this recipe on Instagram which a lot of people love and appreciate (kinda helps when making the recipe) so be sure to check it out! Thank you all for the love & support. I plan to bring lots of Disney copycat recipes to the blog and as you all know, many of my own recipes are named after fictional characters & places I love and adore so you can definitely expect more of that! It’s those personal touches that make HH even more special from my heart to yours 🙂

Disney Pineapple Dole Whip (Healthier Copycat)

In the "Tiki, Tiki, Tiki, Tiki, Tiki room" the famous Dole Whip waits and all the people loom. Bring that Disney magic home, with my "healthier" version of the famous Dole Whip!
Ingredients
- 2 Cups Frozen Pineapple Chunks
- 1/2 Cup Coconut Milk
- 2 Tsp Pineapple Juice
- 3 Tbsp Coconut Sugar
- Pinch of Salt (or 1 Tsp Lemon Juice)
- 1 Tbsp Vanilla Paste (or extract)
Instructions
- Add all ingredients into a high-processed blender and blend until smooth, creamy and thicker in texture. Should be a light golden color
