“Have you ever danced with the devil in the pale moonlight?”, maybe not, but let’s fantasize about dancing all the way to the detox bank. So grab your mallet and let’s start smashing some plants!
The base behind this “killer” juice is to kill parasites, detox and thrive through the healing properties of each selected fruit and plant. I always use organic produce ingredients where I can, especially because many of the ingredients used are part of the “dirty dozen” clan unless organic. This basically means they absorb toxins and pesticides ten times more and are harder to eat clean. But of course, this is your personal choice. I choose beets here to support digestive help, and aid in improving blood pressure and inflammation. Celery is fantastic for water retention (I secretly despise the taste of celery, but the benefits overpower!). Carrots and apple balance this juice recipe perfectly without adding too much sugar, and adding a boost of vitamin C and K. Of course I threw in some extra detoxifiers such as lemon and ginger. What are ya waitin for? Let’s get this parrttaaayy started!
I also recommend using a cold-press juicer if you can (I prefer the Breville products and have had my juicer for years now!). Cold-press tends to kill any unnecessary bacteria, and preserve all nutrients, minerals and enzymes in plants, without using heat which kills most things.
Harley Quinn's Killer Juice

Yup, I brought one of my favorite comic characters to join the party, DETOX STYLE. So grab your mallet and let's start smashing some plants!
Ingredients
- 1 Green Apple
- 2 Medium Sized Red Beets (peeled)
- 3 Medium Sized Carrots
- 1 Celery Stalk
- 1 Small Ginger Piece
- 1 Lemon (peeled)
Instructions
- Place all ingredients into a juicer, and juice until liquid
- Pour into a glass and enjoy!
Notes
TIP: This may sound odd, but if you have leftover pulp which didn't blend in the juicer, this is great to save for a variety of uses such as sauteed greens, turn into broth, add to scrambled foods or even turn into a dip depending on the greens used 🙂
